Multi-Skilled Engineer

Location: LN6, Lincoln
 Salary: £45,000 per year
 Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (6:00am - 6:00pm)
 Full-time | Permanent

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a busy manufacturing site. This is a hands-on role where you'll support the delivery of an effective maintenance programme, ensuring production equipment operates efficiently and downtime is minimised.

You'll play a key role in planned, predictive, and reactive maintenance, while also contributing to continuous improvement projects and supporting site-wide engineering initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned, predictive, and condition-based maintenance across all production equipment
Provide a rapid and effective response to production breakdowns
Support business objectives and achieve site KPIs
Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and improve efficiency
Assist with engineering projects, installations, and improvement activities
Ensure effective use of engineering stores and control of costs
Maintain high standards of hygiene, housekeeping, and safety
Accurately record maintenance activities, downtime, and incidents
Support the management of contractors on site
Assist in maintaining site services and technical documentation
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities 

Health, Safety & Compliance

Follow all Health & Safety regulations and company procedures
Conduct pre-start safety checks on machinery and work areas
Support risk assessments and safe systems of work
Promote a strong safety culture, challenging unsafe behaviours where necessary
Ensure compliance with environmental, ethical, and energy policies
Contribute to a workplace culture focused on safety, sustainability, and wellbeing 

What We're Looking For

Apprentice-trained or relevant engineering qualifications
Electrical and mechanical experience (multi-skilled)
Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Good communication and organisational skills
Computer literate
