Job Description
We are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Engineer to join the packaging department of this well known FMCG manufacturer based at their site in Tadcaster.
Salary: £45,159 plus £9,206 shift allowance (total £54,365 per annum)
Shift Pattern: Panama - 12-hour shifts 6-6 days and nights (work only 14 days in 4 weeks, with every other weekend off!!!)
Role Overview:
The role of a Multi Skilled Engineer in their packaging department is pivotal. Supporting the production of approximately 4.2 million hectolitres per year, the focus is on ensuring machinery such as conveyors, filling machines, pumps and motors are all in top condition. As a Multi Skilled Engineer you will perform corrective maintenance and assist operators to ensure safe, efficient, and timely recoveries from any plant stoppages, minimising lost time and optimising performance.
Skills and Experience Required:
Necessary trade qualifications (NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, HNC, or CITB Apprenticeship at the equivalent level)
Experience working on a manufacturing site with conveyors, pumps, motors, filling machines, hydraulics, and pneumatics
PLC knowledge (ideally Allen Bradley)
PPM experience with prior working knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Management systems
Demonstrated ability to work as a Multi Skilled Engineer with 50/50 electrical and mechanical knowledge
TIG Welding would be a bonus but not essential
Knowledge of TPM, DMAIC and Six Sigma methodologies
