Job Description
We Build Recruitment are now looking for a Multi Skilled Engineer on behalf of our client, a leading facilities management company based in Greater Manchester.
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their dynamic maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of technical skills across multiple trades including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance. This role involves both reactive and planned maintenance work, ensuring properties are safe, compliant, and well-maintained.
Key Responsibilities
*
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across multiple sites.
*
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs across a variety of trades (e.g. plumbing, electrics, joinery, plastering, tiling, etc.).
*
Respond to emergency breakdowns in a timely and professional manner.
*
Ensure all works are completed to a high standard, in compliance with current regulations and company procedures.
*
Accurately complete job reports and documentation via mobile devices or paper-based systems.
*
Liaise effectively with clients, tenants, and colleagues to maintain strong working relationships.
*
Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicle (if provided) in a safe and serviceable condition.
*
Adhere to all health & safety, quality, and environmental policies and procedures.
Essential:
*
Proven experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role across at least two key trades (e.g. plumbing and electrical).
*
NVQ Level 2 or higher in a relevant trade (or equivalent experience).
*
Full UK driving licence.
*
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
*
Strong customer service and communication skills.
*
Flexibility to work out of hours if required (on-call rota, weekend work, etc.)Before You Apply
