Job Description
Multiskilled Engineer (AP)
We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer with Authorised Person (AP) status – either HVAP or LVAP – to join our maintenance team, supporting three key commercial sites in Central London. This is a great opportunity to join a professional and established facilities team working in high-end, well-maintained environments.
The Role:
As the site-based Authorised Person, you'll be responsible for both electrical systems and general building services, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operations. You'll also be the go-to lead for isolations, switching schedules, and permit-to-work systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance across electrical and building services
* Act as site Authorised Person (HVAP or LVAP) for electrical systems
* Perform isolations, switching, and safe systems of work
* Assist with mechanical and general building fabric tasks where needed
* Maintain compliance with statutory and H&S regulations
* Accurately complete service reports, logbooks, and maintenance records
* Liaise with site teams, contractors, and clients to ensure service excellence
Candidate Requirements:
* HVAP or LVAP Authorised Person status (essential)
* Recognised Electrical qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (preferred)
* Proven experience in commercial building maintenance
* Strong knowledge of safe systems of work, isolations, and electrical safety procedures
* Able to travel between 3 Central London sites (all close together)
* Professional, flexible, and proactive mindset
