Job Description
Electromechanical Fitter / Installer
Location: Near Cheltenham/Tewkesbury – must live within a commutable distance (own transport required)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £31,200 – £36,400 per year (depending on skills and experience) + overtime at 1.5x basic rate
We are seeking an experienced Electromechanical Fitter/Installer to join a growing and dynamic team. This is a hands-on role where you will assemble, install, and commission bespoke automation machinery and conveyor systems, both in-house and at customer sites across the UK and North America.
Key Responsibilities
*
Mechanical assembly, fitting, and installation of automation machinery and systems
*
Electrical wiring support (training provided if required)
*
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
*
Occasional UK and international travel (approx. 30–40% of the role)
*
Maintaining high standards of quality and safety at all times
Essential Experience & Skills
*
3+ years’ experience assembling and installing industrial machinery/conveyors
*
Skilled with hand tools and power tools
*
Ability to read and follow engineering drawings and method statements
*
Strong mechanical knowledge (electrical experience is a bonus or willingness to learn quickly)
*
Confident, flexible traveller – must be able to spend up to 2 weeks away at a time, including trips to USA/Canada
*
Full UK driving licence (max. 3 points)
*
No criminal convictions that prevent overseas travel
*
Must hold a UK or EU passport
