Multi-Skilled Engineer – Electrical Bias
Role Overview
I am seeking a skilled engineer to join a key client's Wednesday to Saturday shift team, working varying hours between 6:00am and 10:00pm.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct planned preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance on production equipment, high-speed packaging machinery, and site services.
Perform repairs, refurbishments, installations, upgrades, and modifications to equipment and facilities.
Lead and contribute to continuous improvement and process optimisation initiatives.
Deliver electrical installation and modification project work.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and control panels.
Carry out mechanical fault-finding, repairs, and routine preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
Skills & Qualifications
Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Engineering.
Preferably City & Guilds, ONC, or HNC qualified in Engineering.
Strong problem-solving and fault diagnosis abilities.
Proficient in both electrical and mechanical fault-finding and repair (17th Edition certification desirable).
Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ideally within food production or FMCG.
Solid working knowledge of PLC systems, control panels, HMIs, and SCADA systems
