Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Location: Birmingham
Salary: Up to £53,000 + benefits
Shifts: 12-hour Days & Nights (Continental Shift Pattern)
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-known and established manufacturing company based in Birmingham, who are seeking an Apprentice-Trained Multi-Skilled Engineer with a strong electrical bias to join their engineering team.
The Role:
Working as part of a skilled maintenance team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of plant and equipment through effective fault finding, repair, and planned maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:

Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production and site equipment.
*
Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults across a range of heavy industrial machinery.
*
Work confidently with 3-phase control systems and PLC fault finding, ideally with Siemens PLCs.
*
Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.
*
Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
The Ideal Candidate:
*
Apprentice trained in electrical or multi-skilled engineering.
*
Qualified to HNC level (or equivalent).
*
Proven experience within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
*
Strong electrical knowledge with solid PLC fault-finding and diagnostic ability.
*
Self-motivated, safety-conscious, and a proactive team player.
