Role Overview:
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving electrical systems and machinery across our production facility. You will play a key role in ensuring that the plant runs efficiently and safely, with minimal downtime. This is a hands-on position, ideal for engineers with a strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical equipment, machinery, and systems.
Diagnose and repair electrical faults across a wide range of equipment, including PLCs, motors, drives, and control panels.
Collaborate with other engineering teams to improve plant performance and reliability.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the optimization of machinery and processes.
Requirements:
Essential: 17th or 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations qualification.
Proven experience in electrical maintenance, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Experience with PLCs, drives, motors, control systems, and other electrical components.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (days and nights).
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high standards of safety and quality.
Desirable:
Experience in the plastic manufacturing industry (not essential but beneficial).
Knowledge of other maintenance disciplines (mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics).
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
