About the Role
Shift pattern 4 on / 4 off (2 days and 2 nights)
A global FMCG organisation are currently looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This role is critical in ensuring production runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. You’ll provide skilled engineering support to maintain and improve plant performance, working across electrical and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs on process equipment, manufacturing machinery, packaging equipment, and site services.
* Conduct planned maintenance, modifications, and upgrades to machinery and site utilities.
* Liaise daily with the Maintenance Team Leader and Planner to align on priorities and shift handovers.
* Ensure all work meets Health & Safety standards, Good Manufacturing Practice, and site policies.
* Utilise the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to record and close off maintenance activities.
* Support and participate in continuous improvement (CI) initiatives, projects, and equipment installations.
* Build strong working relationships with colleagues, suppliers, and other departments.
What We’re Looking For
* HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering – minimum requirement.
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) trade accreditation is essential.
* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
* Proven experience as a maintenance engineer in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
* Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding ability.
* Experience using CMMS systems.
* Flexible, multi-skilled approach – comfortable working across disciplines.
* Strong problem-solving skills with a logical and methodical mindset.
* Confident working independently and as part of a team.
* Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development.
