Job title: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £43,000-£45,000
Reporting to: Head of Engineering
Shift pattern: Monday Friday (05:30-14:00)
Location: Edinburgh
Role Overview:
My client working within the bakery industry in Edinburgh are currently growing their team and are looking for a multiskilled maintenance engineer to join them and help unload some of the hands on responsibilities of the engineering manager. The chosen candidate will be able to maintain and occasionally fit some of the machines within the factory including mixers, ovens, packaging machines etc. as well as maintaining the factory as well including lighting and other factory service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Execute inspections/verification tasks as defined in the Maintenance Plan
* Execute maintenance activities and record on PPM System.
* Work on a variety of equipment: Ovens, Packaging machines, wrapping machines, mixers, Risers, PFM machines, VEMAG machines
* Ensure good housekeeping/maintenance in all buildings and facilities
* Ensure maintenance on factory services are met e.g. lighting etc.
* To adhere to all Food Safety and Environmental legislation
* To adhere to all Health & Safety requirement.
* To demonstrate commitment to the food safety and quality culture activities at site, alongside the values of our business PPM (Planned preventative maintenance) & Reactive breakdown maintenance
Requirements
* Time Served or engineering qualifications ideally electrical and mechanical
* 17th/18th Edition
* Capable of self-management
* Strong technical background
* Must have previous relevant experience in FMCG manufacturing
* Good verbal and written communication skills
* Flexibility to ensure cover is provided on all shifts during periods of holiday etc.
* Able to work independentlyBefore You Apply
