Multi-Skilled Maintenance Operative
Location: The central belt
Salary: £31,200 + Benefits
Hours: Full-Time, Permanent
FMSS are looking for a hands-on, versatile Maintenance Operative to handle both planned and reactive maintenance across our client's sites in Glasgow, Ayrshire and Edinburgh. This is a varied role where no two days are the same, ideal for someone with a multi-trade background who enjoys problem-solving and getting stuck in.
What You’ll Do:

Carry out general building repairs – plumbing, joinery, painting, and minor electrics in commercial and residential properties.
*
Respond to urgent maintenance issues quickly and safely.
*
Support PPM schedules, fire alarm testing, and compliance checks.
*
Work with contractors and suppliers for larger projects.
*
Keep accurate records and ensure all work meets H&S standards.
*
Form part of the on call rota.
What We’re Looking For:
*
Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, or handyperson role.
*
Multi-skilled with knowledge of basic trades.
*
Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently.
*
Good communication and customer service skills.
*
Driving licence (essential).
