Multi-Skilled Mechanical Engineer (Temp to Perm)
📍 Location: Bedfordshire MK43 (Static Site)
💰 Perm Salary: £35,000 - £37,000 per year
We're looking for a reliable and experienced Multi-Skilled Mechanical Engineer to join a busy facilities team on a temp to perm basis. If you're confident working with mechanical systems, enjoy solving problems, and care about quality, this role could be the perfect fit.
🔍 What You'll Be Doing:
Service, maintain, and repair ventilation systems (AHUs, extract/intake fans, FCUs)
Maintain heating/cooling systems including thermal wheels and water heaters
Perform checks and repairs on water assets (booster sets, calorifiers, etc.)
Carry out statutory compliance tasks (e.g. legionella checks)
Complete minor plumbing repairs and general maintenance
Log all tasks accurately on site systems
✅ What You'll Need:
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Proven experience in building services/mechanical maintenance
Good knowledge of HVAC and water systems
Awareness of statutory compliance and safety protocols
Comfortable working at height and lifting equipment (up to 20kg)
Strong problem-solving skills and a team-focused mindset
