Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer – Building Services / FM
Location: City of London
Salary: £45,000
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off – Days Only
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
About the Role
We are looking for a versatile and experienced Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer to join a leading FM provider, supporting the delivery of technical services across a high-profile commercial site. This role is ideal for an engineer with both electrical and mechanical expertise, seeking a stable day-shift pattern and a dynamic working environment.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across electrical and mechanical systems
Maintain HVAC systems, lighting, pumps, boilers, AHUs, and fan coil units
Conduct fault finding and repairs across building services infrastructure
Operate and monitor BMS systems to ensure optimal building performance
Ensure compliance with health & safety and statutory regulations
Liaise with subcontractors and support site operations
Requirements
NVQ Level 2/3 or City & Guilds in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (dual-skilled preferred)
Proven experience in building services within commercial FM environments
Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Additional certifications (e.g. F-Gas, Legionella, 18th Edition) are advantageous
