Job Title: Multi-Trade Operative - Voids Team

Duration: 8 weeks (temporary cover)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Pay Rate:
Umbrella: £23.27 per hour
About the Role:
Southern Housing is seeking an experienced Multi-Trade Operative to join their Voids Works team, covering long-term sickness for a temporary period of 8 weeks. The role is based out of Croydon and forms part of the Direct Labour Organisation (DLO) responsible for void property works.
You will carry out a variety of multi-skilled trade tasks across empty residential properties to ensure they are ready for re-occupation. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role requiring a broad range of trade skills and a strong understanding of voids refurbishment.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out multi-trade works to void properties, including but not limited to basic carpentry, plumbing, painting, patch plastering, and general maintenance
Ensure works are completed to a high standard and within set timeframes
Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations on all jobs
Report any issues or further works required to management
Represent the organisation professionally when attending sites
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience in multi-trade work, ideally within social housing or similar environments
Ability to carry out tasks independently and with minimal supervision
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Eligible to work in the UK
Able to provide at least 2 years of work history or references
Pre-employment Requirements:
