Multi Trade – Void Properties

Location: Horsham
Salary: £37,800
Permanent position - *Multiple positions are available

An established social housing contractor is looking to recruit experienced Multi Trade Operatives to join its Voids property team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with a background in social housing maintenance to help refurbish void properties, ensuring homes are brought back to a high standard and ready for new tenants as quickly as possible.

Working across a portfolio of residential properties, the successful candidate will carry out a variety of planned refurbishment works, playing an important role in reducing void turnaround times and delivering quality homes for local communities.

The Role

  * Refurbishment of empty social housing properties.

  * Kitchen and bathroom installations, including all associated works.

  * Carpentry repairs and maintenance.

  * Domestic plumbing, tiling, flooring and decorating.

  * Completing works to a high standard within agreed programmes.

  * Recording completed works using handheld devices.

  * Working safely and professionally while delivering excellent workmanship.

Requirements

  * Previous experience working within social housing, planned maintenance or void property refurbishment.

  * Strong experience installing kitchens and bathrooms.

  * Good all-round carpentry skills.

  * Competence in plumbing, tiling, flooring and decorating.

  * The ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.

  * Experience using handheld IT systems to record work.

  * A good understanding of health and safety within occupied and void residential properties.

  * A full UK driving licence.
