Working for a Maintenance Contractor
Based at one location near Huntingdon

**This role will be working in a team as part of an Estates maintenance team**
**Please be aware that you will need your own transport as the site covers a large area and you will be required to move to different facilities**

We are working in partnership with a national maintenance contractor to recruit a skilled Multi-Trader to deliver Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and Responsive Maintenance within a busy facility. This is a medium-term contract opportunity based at a single site where you’ll carry out carpentry, painting, tiling, lock work, patch plastering and plumbing maintenance across offices, garages, break out areas and service areas.

Key elements of the role and your responsibilities

You will be working in one fixed location near Huntingdon
*
Here you will be focused on the day to day occupied repairs and maintenance at one site and the affiliated facilities
*
For this role you should be able to demonstrate a core skilled trade of carpentry:
*
Where you will be carrying carpentry related tasks such as hanging doors, lock repair, flooring repairs and general property maintenance
You will also need skills in ideally the following areas:
*
Like for like plumbing repairs
*
Painting and decorating
*
Patch plastering
*
And general property maintenance
*
Experience of working in occupied residential properties, hospitals, prisons, sheltered accommodation and immigration centres would be an advantage but not essential
*
As a Carpenter Multi Skilled operative you will deliver excellent customer service and support staff with reactive repairs and maintenance across a portfolio of facilities, with primary focus of operational areas
*
Your work will be split on a job to job basis with a wide range of general repairs and maintenance tasks undertaken on each job
*
You will closely with the facilities estate management to meet contract SLA delivery in a timely manner
*
You should have the ability to advise your supervisor on any issues or challenges that require additional support
*
Happy working in a team of two all day and with other trades as and when required to complete a repair
*
Complete daily work sheets detailing work undertaken and materials used after each job undertaken
*
Working in a timely and productive manner
What you need to bring to the role as the successful applicant to the
Strong Multi-trade background with the ability to carry out multi-trade works
You should have a NVQ Level 2 or NVQ Level 3 in at least one of your skill sets or the ability to show that you are “time served”.
Your own 110v power tools and hand tools
Process Basic IT skills
Extensive knowledge of maintenance repair works
Ability to manage and carry out repairs in a secure environment
Previous experience of repairs and maintenance experience
Adher to company health and safety guidelines
Work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders
Show strong customer service skills due to repairs taking place in occupied areas
Tidy work ethic, making sure all adjoining work areas are kept clean and damage free
