Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Maldon area
Salary: Negotiable (DOE)
Overview
Our client, a global manufacturing leader, is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team. Working on rotating shifts, you will carry out proactive and reactive maintenance to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor plant performance, record data and resolve engineering issues
Maintain electrical, mechanical and automation equipment
Diagnose faults, repair/replace components and complete major overhauls
Support continuous improvement and site compliance (GMP, Safety, Health & Environment)
Provide engineering input at daily meetings and deliver root cause analysis
Develop maintenance routines and support skill development across the team
Manage contractors, issue Permits to Work and ensure safe working practices
Skills & Experience
Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in both Electrical and Mechanical disciplines
Strong background in Mechanical, Electrical and Automation engineering
FMCG experience (food manufacturing preferred)
Proven use of Lean tools and continuous improvement
Confident communicator with leadership and teamwork skills
Gas Safe certification is an advantage
Hours
Rotating weekly shifts (38.75 hrs):
5:45am-2pm
2pm-10:15pm
8am-4:15pm
Includes 12 weekend days per year.
