Job Description
With over 20 years of experience, this business supplies major UK retailers such as Morrisons, Lidl, Tesco, and Sainsbury’s through both branded and private-label lines. Operating across three state-of-the-art manufacturing sites in Yorkshire, they're continuing to expand and are now looking for a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their Harrogate team.
🔍 What You’ll Be Doing:
🛠 Maintenance & Troubleshooting
*
Perform planned and reactive maintenance across high-speed production equipment
*
Rapidly respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and restore equipment functionality
*
Handle electrical, mechanical, and PLC-controlled systems with confidence
⚙️ Production & Equipment Support
*
Support day-to-day production to ensure smooth operations
*
Assist with installations, upgrades, and commissioning of machinery
*
Contribute to process improvement and line efficiency projects
📋 Reporting & Compliance
*
Maintain detailed maintenance logs and equipment records
*
Adhere to strict food safety, health & safety, and environmental standards
*
Support audits, assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives
✅ What We're Looking For:
*
Qualified in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or similar)
*
Proven multi-skilled experience in a FMCG or food manufacturing environment
*
Strong knowledge of PLCs, automation, and high-speed machinery
*
Understanding of HACCP, GMP, and food safety compliance
*
Hands-on, proactive mindset with solid communication and problem-solving skills
