Job Description
A leading FMCG manufacturer is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to maintain, repair, and improve production equipment across the site. This role is vital in ensuring efficient, safe, and hygienic operations while supporting production and quality targets.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for both mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks, including planned preventative maintenance (PPM), fault finding, and supporting equipment upgrades. The role also includes ensuring compliance with food safety and health & safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance on production and site equipment.
Diagnose faults and carry out repairs, including on PLC-controlled machinery.
Support installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure all work complies with food safety and H&S standards.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate with production teams.
Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
Time-served apprenticeship in mechanical and/or electrical engineering.
Experience in a manufacturing (ideally FMCG) environment.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Basic IT skills (Word, Excel).
Flexible, proactive, and a good communicator.
Desirable:
Experience in a food production setting.
Awareness of food hygiene, safety, and continuous improvement practicesBefore You Apply
