Position: Electrical Mechanical Engineer (Electrical Bias)
Shift: Permanent Nights - Sunday to Thursday
Hours: 20:00 - 06:00 (10-hour shifts)
Location: Food Production Site - On-Site Role
Operation: 24/7 Facility
Team: Production staff on-site during shifts
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Mechanical Engineer with an electrical bias to join our night shift team at a busy 24/7 food production facility. You will play a key role in maintaining production machinery and ensuring smooth overnight operations. As the company continues to invest in automation, strong electrical expertise is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on a range of production machinery
Diagnose faults and respond quickly to breakdowns
Ensure all equipment is running efficiently during night operations
Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime
Support automation and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Mechanical Engineering Qualification
Electrical Qualification
NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or a related discipline
Minimum 1 year of experience in a factory or production environment
Desirable Qualifications & Skills:
ONC/HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
18th Edition Wiring Regulations
Knowledge of PLCs, Inverter, and Servo Drives
Desirable Experience:
Motors and Gearboxes
PLC Systems
Inverter & Servo Drives
Pneumatics
Hydraulics
