Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrically biased)

Double day shift (0600ams - 1600hrs / 1400hrs to 2200hrs)
£45,000+

A leading manufacturing company within the construction sector has an exciting opportunity for an electrically biased multiskilled maintenance engineer to join their well-established Engineering Team.

Skills required
18th Edition Electrical wiring regulations
HNC, City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (or similar)
A minimum of 5+ years industry experience in the high-volume manufacturing sector
Proficient in conducting preplanned and schedule maintenance and reactive maintenance for a wide electrical and mechanical machinery, parts and components
Strong electrical maintenance capability, proficient in electrical fault-finding, single-phase and three-phase machinery, AD DC motors, relays, switches and sensors and panel wiring
Use of Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
Ability to read and implement electrical and technical drawings
Experience in CAD or similar software programmes
Knowledge of Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems, processes and drawings; knowledge of belts, chains, pulleys, conveyors, gearboxes
Knowledge of PLCs is highly desirable
Sound knowledge of cold rolling and cold pressing processes & techniques (desirable)
Sound knowledge of health & safety legislation requirements (desirable)
Sound knowledge of general quality & environmental legislation requirements (desirable)Responsibilities (non-exhuastive list)
Routine, preventive maintenance and reactive across the site and to diagnose and propose solutions for all engineering plant breakdowns/failures
Continuously improve performance, efficiency, safety and cost-effectiveness of engineering products and systems by developing, supporting and driving improvement opportunities and best practices approaches
Develop manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling & installing components.
Support the engineering function in the development of new electrical engineering parts, products, new tooling and new engineering processes.
Ensure all equipment, machinery, parts and fork-lift trucks are operated in accordance with health & safety, quality, environmental, compliance and sustainability policy requirements.
Participate in Training and Continuous Professional Development, as required
