Venatu Recruitment are happy to announce that a industry leading client of ours with the Packaging Solutions industry are now looking for a new Maintenance Engineer to join them! Our client has been a leading figure within this field from many years and have instrumental in the fields progression having spent 25 years developing, creating and refining packaging solutions also making them one of the most established! Due to the consistent growth and expansion they're seeing, they are now looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join them ASAP!
Looking for a Maintenance Technician WITH BOTH Mechanical and Electrical experience and qualifications!
The pay rate is £20.37 p/h with Overtime being paid at 1.5 X and Sundays and Bank Holidays at 2X!!
The shift pattern is 4 on/4 off (2 days - 6AM - 6PM following by 2 nights - 6PM - 6AM).
Purpose of the Role:
To ensure the reliable and safe operation of all plant equipment and services by carrying out effective maintenance, repairs, and improvements. The Maintenance Technician will play a key role in minimising downtime, supporting production efficiency, and maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.
Specific responsibilities:
Work on process operations to repair breakdown of electrical and mechanical areas as safely and quickly as possible;
Work with Quality Technicians to ensure repairs leave machine "process-capable" i.e. able to produce product within specification. Issue process disturbance warnings where applicable;
Carry our ancillary activities to build/repair machinery/facilities i.e. welding, cutting, grinding, wiring;
Carry out preventative maintenance as directed;
Carry out checks/service equipment/ facilities to meet legislative requirements as directed;
Work with Production Operators to improve process;
Keep accurate records;
Promote safe behaviour and safe systems of work;
Other projects as assigned.
The ideal candidate will:
Have a successful track record of working in a manufacturing environment
Have a Multi skilled (mechanical and electrical skills / experience / qualification)
Be highly organized and with ability to prioritise and communicate effectively
Be self-motivated and trustworthy
Be a driver in performance with ambition and perseverance
Have logical and structured mind-set
Be a team player and also able to use your own initiative
