You will be responsible for:

Teaching Music across KS3–KS5, including performance, composition, and music technology
*
Inspiring students through high-quality lessons that balance practical musicianship and theoretical understanding
*
Directing or supporting the school’s broad co-curricular music provision, including choirs, bands, ensembles, and concert preparation
*
Delivering cross-disciplinary projects and supporting creative arts events, such as productions or showcases
*
Contributing actively to the school’s Arts faculty, collaborating on schemes of work and sharing best practice
We are looking for a teacher who:

Has QTS and a strong academic background in Music
*
Brings energy, adaptability, and ambition to their teaching practice
*
Is confident in using music technology and software such as Logic Pro, Sibelius, or GarageBand
*
Can demonstrate excellent subject knowledge across classical, contemporary, and world music genres
*
Is willing to teach a second creative subject, or support collaborative arts projects
*
Enjoys engaging with young people both inside and outside the classroom
You will join a well-equipped department with two large music rooms, dedicated practice and rehearsal spaces, a music technology suite, and access to the school’s auditorium. Pupils are enthusiastic, responsive, and respectful, and there is strong take-up at both GCSE and A-Level.
