An academically successful and culturally vibrant secondary school in Oxford is recruiting a Music Early Career Teacher (ECT) to start in September 2025. This full-time, permanent position is a perfect opportunity for a musically gifted and pedagogically curious trainee teacher to inspire students in a school that deeply values the arts.

Music Department

You will teach KS3 and GCSE Music, and support with peripatetic partnerships and the school's extensive choir, orchestra, and band programme.
Your Role
Plan and deliver inspiring music lessons that blend performance, listening, and composition. Engage students through solo and ensemble work, prepare students for school concerts and examinations, and play an active role in whole-school musical life.
Ideal Candidate

A Music graduate with QTS or expected QTS by July 2025

Strong musicianship in at least one instrument or voice
*
Experience using music technology and notation software
*
A positive, engaging presence with a love for teaching music
