Music Teacher - Daventry Location: Daventry Start Date: ASAP or January 2026 Contract Type: Full-Time - Permanent or Long-Term Salary: MPS/UPS - Dependent on Experience Are you a passionate and dynamic Music Teacher ready to inspire the next generation of performers, composers, and creators? Looking for an exciting new role in a Daventry school where the performing arts are valued and supported? We are working with multiple vibrant and inclusive secondary schools across Daventry, each seeking to welcome a dedicated Music Teacher to their departments from ASAP or January 2026. These are full-time positions, available on either a long-term or permanent basis, offering you the flexibility to find the right fit for your career. What You'll Be Doing: Deliver engaging, well-structured Music lessons across KS3 and KS4 (with KS5 opportunities in some schools) Teach a broad and creative curriculum including performance, composition, and listening skills Integrate music technology and software to enhance learning and creativity in the classroom Inspire students to take part in ensembles, choirs, school productions, and extra-curricular music clubs Support students with coursework and exam preparation for GCSE and/or A-Level Music Contribute to the development of the Music curriculum and support whole-school events and performances Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages confidence and creativity Who We're Looking For: A qualified teacher (QTS or QTLS) with strong subject knowledge in Music Confident in delivering a range of musical genres, theory, and instrumental work Skilled in using music technology such as Sibelius, Logic Pro, GarageBand, or similar Enthusiastic about engaging students through practical, creative, and performance-based teaching Strong classroom management and a genuine passion for inspiring young musicians Open to Early Career Teachers (ECTs) as well as experienced practitioners What You Can Expect: The opportunity to teach in schools that celebrate and invest in the arts Access to well-equipped music suites, rehearsal spaces, and digital resources Competitive pay, depending on experience and responsibilities Excellent CPD and career development opportunities in music and performing arts Supportive and collaborative staff teams with a strong sense of community Chances to lead ensembles, direct concerts, and run enrichment programmes If you're ready to bring your creativity, enthusiasm, and love of music to classrooms across Daventry, we'd love to help you find your next opportunity.
