Job Description
A prestigious and high-achieving independent girls’ school in the heart of Oxford is looking to appoint an exceptional and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join its thriving creative arts faculty from either April or September. The successful candidate will join a dynamic department that fosters musical talent across all ages and abilities. The Music Department benefits from dedicated teaching rooms, individual practice spaces, a recital hall, and a fully equipped recording studio. You will:

Teach class music across KS3 to A-Level, inspiring pupils through a broad and balanced curriculum covering music theory, history, composition, and performance.

Take a lead or supporting role in extra-curricular music activities, including choirs, ensembles, orchestras, and musical theatre productions.

Help to coordinate and deliver the school’s extensive performance calendar, which includes formal concerts, lunchtime recitals, open mic nights, and community outreach performances.

Prepare pupils for ABRSM and Trinity College London music exams in conjunction with peripatetic staff.
*
Foster musical enjoyment, excellence, and confidence in students, developing their skills in both solo and group performance.

Collaborate across departments on cross-curricular events and creative projects.
