About the Role:
You’ll be responsible for delivering a dynamic and engaging music curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute to extracurricular music and whole school events. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering creativity, confidence, and cultural appreciation through music.
Key Responsibilities:
* Teach Music across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
* Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire a love for music
* Prepare students for performances, exams, and music-based qualifications
* Contribute to the school’s musical life, including ensembles, concerts, and school productions
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance the creative arts offer
* Support the personal and academic development of all students
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* A degree in Music or a related discipline
* Experience teaching music in a secondary school setting (ECTs welcome to apply)
* Strong practical musicianship and a passion for performance and composition
* Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills
* A commitment to inclusion, creativity, and high standards
