A vibrant and community-focused secondary school in the Reading area is recruiting a committed Music Teacher to start in September 2025. This role is ideal for a dynamic musician who thrives in both the classroom and performance spaces.
You’ll teach across Years 7–11, preparing students for GCSE Music, as well as leading choirs, bands, or ensembles as part of a rich co-curricular programme. Opportunities exist to contribute to whole-school productions and music events.
Key Responsibilities:

Deliver interactive and theory-informed music lessons
*
Prepare students for performance and composition elements of GCSE
*
Run lunchtime and after-school clubs/ensembles
*
Assist with school concerts, open evenings, and celebration events
*
Use music technology to enhance learning (e.g. GarageBand, Logic, Noteflight)
Requirements:
*
Degree in Music or Music Education + QTS
*
Confident teaching a broad range of instruments and genres
*
Ability to conduct ensembles or lead choirs is highly desirable
*
Flexible, proactive approach to wider school life

Strong commitment to the arts and inclusive learning

Supportive SLT and excellent ECT provision
