We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Music Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school community in Bassetlaw. Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated music lessons that cater to a diverse range of abilities, ensuring all students are supported to achieve their personal best.
- Develop and implement schemes of work that reflect the school’s commitment to fostering creativity, collaboration, and a love of learning in music.
- Assess and monitor student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adjusting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Support the development of students' musical skills, including performance, composition, and listening, fostering confidence and enthusiasm for the subject.
- Organise and supervise extracurricular music activities, including rehearsals, concerts, and competitions, to enrich the students' overall educational experience. - Collaborate with colleagues across departments to integrate music into cross-curricular projects and school events.
- Uphold the school’s ethos of respect, inclusivity, and personalised learning, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all students.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and behaviour in accordance with school policies.
- Contribute to the wider school community by actively participating in staff meetings, professional development, and school events related to the arts.
