Location: Reading, Berkshire Contract: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: MPS/UPS (ECTs encouraged to apply) A vibrant secondary school in Reading, known for its thriving Arts and Music provision, is seeking a passionate Music Teacher to join their dynamic department from September 2025. This is an ideal opportunity for an Early Career Teacher or experienced educator to inspire musical excellence in a supportive setting. Music is embedded in the curriculum from Year 7 to Year 11, with options for GCSE and BTEC, plus a growing Sixth Form offer. Music Department Highlights * Modern facilities, including two fully equipped music classrooms and multiple practice rooms * Access to a wide range of instruments and music technology (including Logic Pro, MIDI, and recording studios) * Extracurricular enrichment: choir, jazz band, musical theatre, instrumental ensembles Your Role You’ll deliver engaging Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute to KS5. You’ll also be central to concerts, school productions, and trips. As an ECT, you’ll benefit from weekly mentoring, reduced timetable, and CPD.
