An inclusive and well-regarded secondary school in Weston-super-Mare is looking to appoint a talented Music Teacher for a September 2025 start. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a vibrant performing arts faculty that blends classical traditions with contemporary and world music.
Role Outline:
Teaching across KS3 and KS4 Music, you will engage pupils in composition, listening and performance. The department uses digital music tools to encourage all students to create and perform confidently, regardless of their prior musical experience.
Responsibilities Include:

Plan and teach a broad music curriculum incorporating a range of genres and traditions
*
Lead ensembles, choirs, and student bands, and support termly showcases
*
Integrate music technology and composition software into teaching
*
Organise peripatetic tuition and liaise with visiting professionals
Ideal Candidate:
*
Degree in Music or Music Education with QTS
*
Proficiency in at least one instrument or voice
*
Ability to inspire students with varied musical backgrounds and skill levels
*
Confident with notation software and digital tools (e.g. Logic, Soundtrap)
