Location: Cherwell district, Oxfordshire Contract: Full‑Time, Permanent Salary: MPS/UPS A creative beacon in Cherwell, this proactive secondary school seeks a confident Music Teacher to transform its performance, composition, and digital music offering from September 2025. Armed with a modern suite and tech, this role is ideal for a teacher ready to lead and innovate. Role description: Teach KS3–KS4 Music, with scope to teach A-Level or BTEC Music Technology. Run ensembles (jazz band, choir, rock groups) and integrate music tech (DAWs, sampling, editing) into curriculum and performance. You'll also spearhead whole-school concerts, festivals, and community music days. Responsibilities: * Plan lessons that combine theory, composition, world music, and digital production * Conduct ensembles and coordinate performances with other arts disciplines * Use music software for recording, mixing, and creative production in lessons * Organise school-wide showcases and live community performances Ideal candidate: * Qualified Music teacher with multi-instrument proficiency * Strong performing and tech skills; confident with Logic, Pro Tools, Sibelius * Passionate about inclusive performance and student agency * Skilled event manager with excellent communication School context: A high-achieving, inclusive school with an exceptional arts record.
