About the role
We seek for September 2025: Music Teacher (Part-Time) - Lower KS2
Applications are welcome from passionate and suitably qualified and experienced teachers to teach in a thriving department. The successful candidate will be confident in teaching curriculum Music lessons to Key Stage 2 (particularly Years 3 and 4), with a possibility of some teaching in KS1 and/or EYFS. They will also show a willingness to be involved in the department through running or supporting choirs and/or instrumental ensembles. The ability to play the piano or other instruments would be desirable.
The department has excellent resources with a well-equipped Music House. Music at Cumnor is outstanding and we have a long tradition of successful competitions and wonderful performances. The successful candidate will also work closely with the Head of Music.
This is a highly fulfilling and challenging role in which to develop your career. A willingness to become fully involved in school extra-curricular activities is also expected. Applications from newly qualified teachers are welcome and the school is committed to supporting Early Career Teachers.

*Degree or Equivalent
*Excellent creative teaching ability.
*Experience teaching classroom Music.
*A competent musician who is able to play piano and/or other instruments
*Knowledge and understanding of current framework for teaching and assessment.
