We are looking for a Music Teacher to work within a thriving and culturally rich secondary school in Oxford.

A prestigious and well-established secondary school in Oxford is looking to appoint an energetic and dedicated Music Teacher for a September 2025 start. The successful candidate will join a thriving Performing Arts faculty with a strong emphasis on practical musicianship, creativity, and ensemble performance.
As a Music Teacher, you will deliver a broad curriculum across KS3 and KS4 with access to high-quality instruments, music technology labs, and a dedicated performance space. There will also be scope to deliver KS5 teaching for A-Level Music or BTEC depending on experience.
You’ll lead or support a range of extracurricular ensembles, including choir, orchestra, jazz band, or musical theatre. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with feeder primaries and contribute to large-scale concerts and seasonal events held throughout the year.
Experience and Qualifications
• Music degree and formal teaching qualification (PGCE + QTS)
• Strong subject knowledge in theory, composition, and performance
• Ability to lead instrumental groups and support peripatetic staff
• Experience using music software (e.g. Sibelius, Logic Pro, Soundtrap)
• A passion for developing young musicians and inclusive practice
• Right to work in the UK
