Job Description
We are looking for a Music Teacher to join a dynamic and successful department in a high-achieving school based in Portsmouth, Hampshire.
Full-time Music Teacher required from September on a permanent contract

Opportunity to teach Music across the key stages in a school with a rich musical tradition
This position is ideal for a Music Teacher who is passionate about inclusive and high-quality music education. You will teach Music from KS3 through to KS4, with the opportunity for A-Level teaching and ensemble direction. The department has a strong track record of academic results and extracurricular performance, including choirs, orchestras, and recording projects.
The successful candidate will benefit from access to two large teaching classrooms with full ICT integration, Mac suites, soundproofed practice rooms, and music technology equipment. You will be supported by a part-time technician and several peripatetic staff members.
Experience and Qualifications
• Music degree with QTS (PGCE or equivalent)
• Experience teaching Music up to KS4; A-Level preferred
• Strong practical musicianship and experience in ensemble work
• Willingness to lead or assist with extracurricular activities
• Legal right to work in the UK
