Job Description
We are looking for a Music Teacher to work within an ambitious and creative school based in Taunton, Somerset.
Full-time Music Teacher required from September 2025

We are seeking a dedicated Music Teacher to teach across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity for A-Level teaching for suitably experienced applicants. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a thriving department that prides itself on offering a diverse musical experience to students of all abilities and backgrounds.
You will be working in a well-equipped Music department featuring practice rooms, a performance hall, and a fully equipped recording studio with industry-standard software and equipment. The school places a strong emphasis on extracurricular music, with a wide range of ensembles including jazz bands, choirs, rock groups, and orchestras. The department plays a central role in school life, regularly organising concerts, productions, and community events.
Experience and Qualifications
• Degree in Music and QTS
• Experience teaching Music to at least KS4; KS5 a bonus
• Strong practical musicianship and the ability to direct ensembles or choirs
• Willingness to take part in concerts and wider school life
• Legal right to work in the UK
