Job Description
We are looking for a Music Teacher to work within a well-established independent school near Bath, Somerset.
Music Teacher required for a September start – full-time, permanent position

We are seeking a talented and passionate Music Teacher to join a creative and high-achieving department at an independent school near Bath. This full-time role will involve teaching Music across KS3–KS5, preparing students for graded exams, supporting scholarship applicants, and playing an active role in the school's thriving concert and production calendar.
The successful Music Teacher will be a dynamic performer and classroom teacher, capable of inspiring a love of music in students of all abilities. You should be confident directing ensembles, accompanying soloists, and supporting larger school productions. Experience with music technology and composition is also highly desirable.
You will be joining a highly regarded department with a history of success in GCSE and A-Level results, music scholarships, and ensemble competitions. The department is supported by visiting music staff and boasts excellent facilities including a concert hall, recording suite, and dedicated practice rooms.
Experience and Qualifications
• Music degree with teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)
• Strong performing skills; piano accompaniment preferred
• Experience teaching to KS5 is highly desirable
• Experience working with ensembles, choirs, or musical theatre a plus
• Eligible to work in the UK
