Music Teacher Loaction: Walsall  Start Date: September 2025  Salary: Competitive – MPS/UPS depending on experience About the Role:  We are seeking a passionate and talented Music Teacher to join our dedicated team at a secondary school in Walsall. The successful candidate will inspire students to develop their musical skills and creativity, fostering a lifelong appreciation for music. Role Responsibilites:  Plan and deliver engaging and inspiring music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially at Key Stage 5. Develop and implement a broad and balanced music curriculum that meets national standards and encourages student participation. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and reports. Encourage students to participate in performances and competitions to enhance their confidence and skills. Manage musical resources and maintain instruments and equipment. Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support cross-curricular learning opportunities. Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports all students. Role Requirements:  Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Music education. Proficiency in one or more musical instruments and/or vocal expertise. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Passion for inspiring students and promoting music education. Ability to motivate students of varying abilities and backgrounds. Experience organising and directing musical performances is highly desirable. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
