We are looking for a Music Teacher to work within a highly respected independent school near Totnes, Devon.
Music Teacher required from September 2025 – Full-Time, Permanent
Outstanding music programme with student ensembles, choirs, and instrumental tuition
Dynamic Music Teacher to engage and inspire across KS3–KS5
A vibrant and progressive independent school near Totnes is looking to appoint an energetic and versatile Music Teacher to join their established Music department. This is a school that views Music as an integral part of school life, offering an inclusive and joyful experience to all students.
The Music department includes a dedicated recital space, practice rooms, and a fully equipped music technology suite. Pupils participate in choirs, bands, and musical theatre, and many go on to pursue music at conservatoires and universities.
You will be responsible for delivering Music across KS3 to A-Level, including GCSE Music and Music Technology if applicable. A confident performer, accompanist, or ensemble leader is highly desirable. There are opportunities to lead instrumental groups and take part in whole-school productions.
Experience and Qualifications
• Degree in Music and QTS or equivalent
• Experience teaching Music up to A-Level
• Comfortable working with a range of musical styles and genres
• Willingness to lead or support co-curricular ensembles
• Right to work in the UK
