Site Supervisor - National Grid Substation Build (Oxford) 🔧
Contract Length: Minimum 6 Months
Rate: £450/day (CIS or Umbrella)
Location: Oxford, UK
Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee a major National Grid substation construction project in Oxford. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a high-profile infrastructure build, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise daily site operations and ensure compliance with National Grid standards.
Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and project managers to maintain timelines and quality.
Enforce health and safety protocols and manage site documentation.
Lead toolbox talks and ensure all personnel adhere to site rules and procedures.
Liaise with stakeholders and report progress regularly.
Essential Qualifications & Authorisations:
NSI 6 & NSI 8 Competent Person Authorisation
SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
First Aid Certification
CCNSG Safety Passport
HSG47 - Avoiding Danger from Underground Services
Full training and authorisations required for SR163 nomination
Candidate Profile:
Proven experience supervising substation builds or similar high-voltage infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of National Grid procedures and safety standards.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Able to work independently and manage multiple site activities.
Contract Details:
Duration: Minimum 6 months, with potential for extension.
Rate: £450/day (paid via CIS or Umbrella).
