About the Company
Our client is a leader in sustainable construction materials and part of a £40+ billion global energy and industrial group with operations in over a dozen countries across Europe, the Americas, and beyond. The business specialises in recycling and repurposing industrial by-products from the energy sector, turning them into high-value, low-carbon materials for the construction industry. With a proven track record in sustainability, engineering excellence, and large-scale industrial projects, they are now embarking on one of their most ambitious UK schemes to date.
The Project
This flagship development will involve the demolition and reconstruction of a £45 million industrial facility designed to process and dry more than 10 million tonnes of wet ash, transforming it into a market-ready product for concrete manufacturing. This will reduce CO₂ emissions by around 15% and help meet critical environmental targets. The project is just the start - future planned works include a new solar farm and a major industrial build at Ferrybridge.
The Role
We are seeking an NEC Supervisor with a thorough understanding of all NEC contract forms and a broad technical knowledge base.
Phase 1 - Focus on health & safety leadership during the demolition stage, ensuring full compliance and best practice.
Phase 2 - Oversee programme management and project delivery during reconstruction.
Chair and lead meetings with the client and key stakeholders.
Work closely with the current Head of Delivery, who will mentor and train you with a view to succession - this role is a clear pathway to taking up their position in the future.
As the business grows, you'll have the chance to work on projects abroad, including in France, Germany, and the USA.
About You
Degree in Engineering (Master's preferred).
Experience in the energy sector or heavy industrial construction.
Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts.
Exceptional communicator with the ability to represent the business at the highest level.
Ambitious and keen to step into a senior leadership role in the near future.
