We’re working with one of the UK’s leading housing providers, managing over 100,000 homes and supporting communities across London and the South East. They’re dedicated to creating safe, sustainable neighbourhoods, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring residents’ voices are at the heart of everything they do.
We are now seeking an experienced Neighbourhood Housing Lead to take full responsibility for a patch of around (Apply online only) homes, acting as the primary point of contact for residents and working to build trust, satisfaction, and strong community relationships.
Key Details
Location: 1-2 days in office (Stratford) | Patch (SW London) & WFH
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £35,951 - £41,300 plus £1300 car allowance + benefits & genuine career progressionKey Responsibilities
Act as the main point of contact for residents on your patch, representing their voice and resolving issues across tenancy, property, and community matters.
Build strong relationships with residents, resident groups, and local partners, ensuring timely, empathetic communication.
Manage and resolve tenancy issues including nuisance, ASB, service charges, and estate management concerns.
Carry out tenancy audits, property and estate inspections, ensuring compliance with safety, fire risk and regulatory standards.
Support residents by making referrals for additional services, liaising with specialist teams, and escalating risks when necessary.
Work with legal teams on tenancy breaches and court action where required.
Respond to complaints, MP/Councillor enquiries, and contribute to co-creating services with residents.
Collaborate with estate services, performance, and improvement teams to ensure high-quality service delivery and continuous improvement.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
Strong housing sector experience, with knowledge of tenancy and leasehold management, tenancy fraud, ASB, safeguarding, domestic abuse, hate crime, and support for vulnerable residents.
Property management expertise, including facilities management, communal inspections, service charges, and understanding of Housing & Immigration Law and Welfare Reform.
Proven experience working directly with tenants and/or leaseholders.
Solid understanding of risk management and compliance in housing and property management.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex information.
Confidence to act in residents’ best interests, challenge the norm, and deliver positive outcomes.
Knowledge of the regulatory environment for housing associations.
Awareness of budget management and value for money principles.
Curious, persistent, and proactive in finding solutions.
Willingness to work towards an IRPM qualification (and other relevant training).Desirable
