Neighbourhood Housing Officer - Gosport
Temp contract : Full-time
Pay: £13.07 per hour (PAYE)
Our client is seeking a Neighbourhood Housing Officer to join their team in Gosport. The role involves providing customer-focused neighbourhood management across a patch of approximately 300 properties. You will support tenants, manage rental income, tenancy issues, void properties, and work closely with partner agencies to maintain well-managed communities.
37 hours per week (Monday-Friday, occasional work outside normal hours)
Please note : The role may require occasional work outside normal office hours, including evening meetings or home visits.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver housing management services to your assigned property patch.
Manage rent collection, arrears, tenancy issues, and void properties.
Conduct home visits, face-to-face interviews, and telephone contact with tenants.
Liaise with partner agencies to support tenants and resolve issues.
Attend resident meetings or court as required.Requirements:
Experience in housing management or a customer-facing service role.
Knowledge of housing law, rent collection, and tenancy management.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure.
Good IT skills (Microsoft Office) and literacy/numeracy.
Full driving licence and access to a car.
