The Role

Due to continued expansion my national market leading client have asked me to find them a skilled .NET Developer to help evolve and enhance our core business systems. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building robust, high-performing solutions and wants real ownership over the systems they develop.

You'll design and build modern, web-based components and integrations that improve reliability, streamline workflows, and support significant business transformation initiatives. Working as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team, you'll have direct input into solution design, technical decisions, and delivery outcomes.

You'll work remotely on Mondays and Fridays, with the rest of the week based in our modern Birmingham city centre offices.

What you'll be doing:

Enhancing and extending core business systems to improve performance, reliability, and operational efficiency
Building and evolving web-based applications, APIs, and integrations that drive automation and transformation
Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code aligned to best practices
Producing clear technical documentation to support development, testing, and long-term system support
Creating accurate high-level and detailed development estimates to support planning and delivery
Managing multiple development tasks in parallel while maintaining quality and delivery momentum
Developing deep technical knowledge of the systems you support to enable effective troubleshooting and continuous improvement
Collaborating within a cross-functional team, contributing to solution design and technical decision-making
Adapting quickly to changing requirements with a proactive, solution-focused mindset 

What you'll bring:

Essential skills and experience:

Strong experience with .NET / .NET Core (C#)
ASP.NET Core, Web API, and Azure Functions
Blazor experience
Solid understanding of Microsoft SQL Server
Advanced T-SQL skills, including optimisation of complex queries
Experience writing clean, readable, and maintainable code
Proven experience implementing effective testing strategies
Confidence working with code repositories
Familiarity with application profiling tools
A strong sense of ownership and pride in delivering high-quality solutionsNice-to-Have Extras 🎉

Background in Professional Services would be highly advantageous
Agile development & Continuous Integration experience
Exposure to Azure Stack, Power Automate, Power Apps
Knowledge of microservice architecture
Front-end experience (HTML, JavaScript, modern frameworks)Ready to level up your career?
