Job Description
Streamline Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Network Development Manager to join a growing logistics business based out of London Gateway.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a strategic transport professional who’s confident leading teams, building out national networks, and driving continuous improvements across fleet operations.
As Network Development Manager, you’ll play a key role in expanding and improving the company’s regional and national transport reach. You’ll be responsible for leading a high-performing team, optimising routes and fleet performance, and ensuring service standards and compliance are consistently met.
Main responsibilities will include:
* Developing the transport network across the UK to support business growth
* Leading a team and aligning day-to-day operations with wider strategic goals
* Improving overall fleet performance, including exploring low-emission and sustainable options
* Reducing empty running and improving route efficiency through smart planning
* Managing contracts and negotiating with key transport partners and suppliers
* Ensuring compliance with transport regulations and internal operational procedures
* Collaborating across departments to support wider logistics and service delivery
* Supporting transport projects and introducing new ways of working
What we’re looking for:
* A solid understanding of UK/EU transport legislation and fleet management
* Experience managing both in-house and subcontracted vehicles
* Confident working with stakeholders and suppliers at all levels
* Good working knowledge of TMS and route planning tools
* Commercially aware, with experience handling contract negotiations
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
* CPC in Transport Management
* Experience with pallet networks
* Lean / continuous improvement qualifications (e.g. Six Sigma)
* IOSH or NEBOSH certification
* Degree or equivalent in Supply Chain, Business, or Logistics
Salary: £40,000–£60,000 per year doe
Based full-time at London Gateway
