Overview
Cameron James Professional Recruitment is representing a leading national mortgage brokerage seeking an experienced New Build and Protection Mortgage Advisor to support their new-build developer and shared ownership partnerships across Milton Keynes.
This home-based role is ideal for a CeMAP-qualified advisor with experience in new build lending, shared ownership schemes and protection advice. With a consistent flow of high-quality, pre-qualified leads from major housebuilders, housing associations and partner brokers, this position offers excellent earning potential and complete working flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
You will provide whole-of-market mortgage and protection advice to new build purchasers, shared ownership buyers and first-time buyers. This includes conducting affordability assessments, sourcing and recommending appropriate lenders, managing applications through to completion and delivering compliant advice remotely via telephone or video.
You will maintain strong working relationships with new-build site staff, developers and housing associations, ensuring that referral opportunities are maximised and that all parties receive timely updates. Protection advice is a key component of the role, covering life insurance, critical illness and income protection.
Ideal Candidate
To be successful, you must be CeMAP (or equivalent) qualified with previous experience advising on regulated mortgages and protection. Experience with new build lending, shared ownership schemes and Help to Buy is highly advantageous.
You should be proactive, organised and confident working independently within a self-employed structure. Strong relationship-building skills, excellent communication and an ability to work to tight developer deadlines are essential.
