The Role
We are seeking an experienced Sales Consultant to join a high-quality residential development in Oxfordshire on a fixed-term contract.
This is an opportunity for an established new homes sales professional who can take ownership of a development and operate confidently as the sole sales representative on site.
The successful candidate will have a strong track record of selling new-build homes directly for a housebuilder, with the commercial awareness and independence to manage a development effectively from day one.
About You
You will be confident working independently
Able to take responsibility for the full sales process and adapting your approach to changing market conditions.
You will understand how to generate interest, manage buyers, progress reservations and completions
Maximise sales in both strong and challenging markets.
We are looking for someone who:
Has substantial experience selling new-build residential property
Has independently managed sales on multiple developments
Is commercially astute and understands local market conditions
Can adapt pricing, sales strategy and buyer engagement in response to market conditions
Is confident managing the customer journey from initial enquiry through to completion
Can generate and convert leads rather than relying solely on incoming enquiries
Is highly organised and able to manage their own workload
Has excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
Is professional, proactive and self-motivated
Can work effectively without requiring significant day-to-day support
Key Responsibilities
Take full ownership of sales activity at the development
Manage enquiries, viewings, reservations and sales progression
Deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout the buying journey
Maintain accurate sales records and provide regular updates
Work closely with internal teams, solicitors, mortgage advisers and other stakeholders to progress sales
Monitor local competition and market conditions
Adjust sales approach and buyer engagement accordingly
Proactively follow up leads and maximise conversion opportunities
Support the achievement of development sales targets and commercial objectives
Represent the development and the company to a consistently high professional standard
Experience Required
Essential:
Proven experience in new-build house sales
Experience working independently and taking ownership of a development
Strong understanding of the new homes sales process
Demonstrable ability to operate effectively in changing market conditions
This role would suit an experienced, self-sufficient New Homes Sales Consultant who can step onto a development, understand the market quickly and take ownership of the sales operation with minimal supervision
