Night Shift Electroplating Plant Operator – Walsall (Temp to Perm)
JAM Staffing Solutions are currently recruiting for a Night Shift Electroplating Plant Operator on behalf of our client based in Walsall (WS2).
Our client is a well-established plating and surface coatings company providing high-quality services to the automotive sector and Tier 1 manufacturers.
Role Overview:
This is a physically demanding position working within an electroplating plant. The ideal candidate will be reliable, punctual, and comfortable working night shifts.
Full training will be provided, but previous plating or chemical experience is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor plating processes and make necessary adjustments to amperages and plating times
*
Perform preventative maintenance on plating machinery
*
Work with process engineers to develop plating improvements
*
Support production team goals around quality and productivity
*
Follow all safety and process control procedures
*
Handle and process customer parts safely and efficiently
*
Perform quality checks in line with customer specifications
*
Maintain a clean and tidy work area
*
Adhere to COSHH and PPE requirements
Shift Pattern:
*
12-hour shifts, 4 on / 4 off rotation (including some weekend work)

Pay & Benefits:

Pay rate: From £12.74 per hour, depending on experience
*
Overtime opportunities available
*
Temp-to-perm position — permanent contract available after 13 weeks (subject to performance and attendance)
Requirements:

Previous plating or chemical process experience is essential
*
Strong attendance and timekeeping record
*
Willingness to undertake ongoing training
*
Ability to communicate effectively in English
*
Reliable transport to Walsall (WS2)
*
Prepared to work nights and some weekends
