Night Shift Maintenance Engineer - Abergavenny
We’re looking for a reliable, proactive, and hands-on Night Shift Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing facility operating on night shifts.
As a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer, you’ll take ownership of maintaining and improving production machinery, ensuring operations run smoothly, safely, and efficiently throughout the night.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer who enjoys solving problems, working independently, and minimising production downtime.
📍 Location: Abergavenny
🕓 Hours: Sunday to Thursday | 21:45 – 06:15 | 40 hours per week
What You’ll Be Doing
*
As a Night Shift Maintenance Engineer, carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production systems and machinery.
*
Diagnose and repair faults quickly to reduce downtime and keep the plant running efficiently.
*
Support projects, upgrades, and installations of new equipment.
*
Assist with the integration of new systems and process improvements.
*
Ensure all maintenance work is completed in line with health & safety standards.
*
Collaborate with production and other engineering teams to support smooth night operations.
*
Keep accurate records of all maintenance and project activities.
What We’re Looking For
*
Qualified Maintenance Engineer (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent).
*
Background in manufacturing, industrial, or production environments.
*
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills (mechanical and/or electrical).
*
Able to work independently and take initiative during night shifts.
*
Safety-conscious, reliable, and committed to continuous improvement.
