Job Description

Night Shift Manager – Manufacturing
Location: Halifax
Salary: £45,000
Hours: Monday–Friday, 10:00pm–6:00am (Permanent Nights)

Our established manufacturing client is looking for an experienced Night Shift Manager to take responsibility for their night shift operation.

The Role
• Lead and manage the night shift production team.
• Ensure production targets, quality and delivery requirements are achieved.
• Manage staffing, performance, absence and day-to-day shift issues.
• Monitor production output, downtime, waste and efficiency.
• Work closely with Engineering to minimise breakdowns and downtime.
• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and housekeeping.
• Ensure effective communication and handover between shifts.
• Identify and implement improvements across the production operation.

The Person
• Previous supervisory or management experience within manufacturing.
• Strong people-management and leadership skills.
• Confident managing a busy production environment.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety and manufacturing KPIs.
• Hands-on, practical approach with the ability to make decisions.
• Plastics, polymers, extrusion, compounding or process manufacturing experience would be advantageous.

The Package
£45,000 per annum
Monday–Friday | 10:00pm–6:00am | Permanent Nights
